Yvette Cornelia Holzwarth is a violinist, vocalist, composer, and writer based in Los Angeles.

Raised in the SF Bay Area, Yvette began her classical training on violin at the age of three. She has greatly expanded her range of styles to include Hungarian and Balkan folk, Arabic, Americana, experimental contemporary music, improvisation, and popular songwriting. She holds an M.F.A. in Performance and Composition from the California Institute of the Arts and a B.A. in American Literature from UCLA.

As a violinist, Yvette has performed with orchestras in prestigious venues such as Walt Disney Concert Hall and UCLA Royce Hall, toured Egypt and Oman with Arabic ensemble MESTO, and played nationally with pop artist Dent May. She has enjoyed contributing violin and vocals to many recordings of independent artists and film scores, such as Anenon, Ana Caravelle, Owl Country, venus-jupiter, and more.

As a composer, her works have been performed by SF Civic Orchestra, Bay Area’s Awesöme Orchestra, CalArts Contemporary Vocal Ensemble, and the Desert Quill Quartet. She has produced sound for theatre productions such as Antigonick and How Little I Know (original work) produced by the Scatterstate Theater in San Jose, CA. Her own 9-piece chamber pop group has been featured at the Troubadour and CalArts New Works Festival, and they are currently working on an album of original compositions. Her songs can be heard on her 2013 EP release Open It Up.
