Savannah Wheeler is a composer and songwriter for film, television, documentaries, and other media. Savannah’s work is known for a sophisticated compositional style that showcases her strong classical music background and deep love of acoustic instruments and modern music. Encompassing everything from lush orchestrations to minimalist scores, haunting balladry to up-tempo pop songs, she tailors her style to fit the unique needs of each project.
Savannah hails from a small town in the Midwest, where she spent much of her time playing guitar at family BBQ's and dancing wildly to Bob Dylan records with the local riff raff. Her classical training in piano, voice and percussion had her gigging everywhere from church choirs to house parties to smoky back-alley honky tonks, and her compositions speak to these influences with that magical combination of familiarity and originality.
Composer for SOMETIMES I THINK ABOUT DYING (premiered at Sundance 2019). Music Department for DOWNSIZING (2017), STAN and OLLIE (2018).
