Natalia's relationship with music began at the age of 12 when she began playing trumpet in her hometown of Suffolk, Virginia. As she grew up playing in various ensembles, she eventually began writing and arranging music as well. Every composer has their moment. Her moment came at the age of 15 when she discovered the film, Cinema Paradiso. The emotionally riveting combination of score and story made her realize that she wanted to spend the rest of her life making people feel the way she felt during that moment. Musical storytelling and emotional connections with audiences have been her passion ever since.
Natalia continued her higher education at Berklee College of Music, completing a dual degree in Film Scoring and Electronic Production and Design, and minoring in Video Game Scoring. Her training includes composition, sound design, audio implementation, production, and much more. While a student, Natalia pursued many projects outside the realm of education, and also served as the president for the Women's Film Initiative, an organization created to strengthen the female filmmaking community on the collegiate level.
Never content with working in just one medium, Natalia has worked in the world of film, video games, and many others. She finds immense joy in using music as a tool for storytelling, and is constantly searching for new ways to bring an added dimension to any project.
In addition to music, Natalia enjoys nature, family and friends, cheesecake, the occasional awkward conversation, and Hearthstone. She currently resides in Los Angeles, working to bring meaningful art to the west coast and beyond.
