Michaela Eremiášová (composer and songwriter), is a recipient of various composition awards including the ASCAP Foundation Rudolf Nissim Prize for "Emblems," an 11-minute work for solo violin and chamber orchestra. She has become increasingly recognized for her work in concert music and music for visual media. Her film and operatic music has been featured in over two hundred national and international film festivals as well as the Cincinnati Opera & Opera Fusion Workshop, New York City Opera’s VOX Festival, New Music Festival at Bowling Green State University, Kurt Weill Festival at Berlin’s Sony Center in Germany. Michaela also composed and produced the orchestral theme for the Toronto Blue Jays with a fiftyfive-piece orchestra and scored several productions for Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel, and FOX Telecolombia. Most recently her music has been featured in the TV spots for the award-winning films "Brooklyn" and "Lion." Eremiasova holds a Bachelor of Music in Composition from the Conservatory of Jaroslav Ježek, a Masters in Musicology from Charles University in Prague, and a PhD in Composition from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York.
