Kelli Scarr is an American singer, multi-instrumentalist and composer. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Scarr has explored her way through various projects and collaborations including the bands Moonraker and J.Viewz, as well as a stint writing, recording, and touring with the musician Moby. Scarr began composing film scores in 2004 and, in 2010, received an Emmy nomination for her score to Jeremiah Zagar’s documentary, In A Dream. She has released two solo albums on Silence Breaks Records and has completed artist residencies at OMI, UCROSS and Brush Creek. Her music has been featured in dozens of television shows, movies, and commercials. She recently served as music supervisor and composed scores for the documentaries Advanced Style and Far Western and is currently scoring the documentary Warrior Women for ITVS. Kelli Scarr works as the Director of Grants & Finance at the Bronx Documentary Center, a non-profit gallery and educational space that shares photography, film, and new media with underserved Bronx communities. She currently lives with her son Liam and their dog in Queens, NY.
