Born and raised Canada, Heather is now a dual citizen of both Canada and the USA. She currently resides in Los Angeles where she writes music for film, TV and video games of all sizes and budgets.
Heather studied music at Juilliard in New York City, and at Indiana University, with double majors in composition and piano performance.
Heather’s music career has encompassed performances, radio and television broadcasts, and recordings as a solo pianist and/or composer in numerous countries, including Canada, the USA, Russia, France, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic, England, Cyprus, Mexico, Brazil, and the British West Indies. Her numerous awards include three BMI Awards and two SOCAN Awards. She has many commercial recordings to her credit, including recent releases on NAXOS, and CMC Centrediscs. She has twice received Juno nominations for “Classical Composition of the Year” (the Canadian equivalent of the Grammy’s).
