Inside Out has been produced across the U.S – including The Laguna Playhouse in Laguna Beach, CA; The Phoenix Theatre in Arizona; Barnsdall Gallery Theatre (directed by Kay Cole); The Wealthy Theatre in Grand Rapids, Michigan; 12 Miles West Theatre, New Jersey; West Valley Playhouse, Sherman Oaks, CA; two European productions in Switzerland.

Inside Out is published by Samuel French. The score was recently chosen to be re-mastered and re-released on Kritzerland: and is being considered for new productions.

ASCAP Cabaret. Adryan was invited by ASCAP to participate in a tribute to Charles Strouse, with Michael Feinstein, at Carnegie Hall, performing one of her songs and a Charles Strouse song; and at Chicago Humanities Festival’s “ASCAP Cabaret: Her Turn” with Karen Mason, and an array of Chicago cabaret performers.

LML Music ( released Everyone Has A Story: The Songs of Adryan Russ, some written on her own; others with collaborators Brad Ellis and Doug Haverty. Her songs are performed by some of Los Angeles and Broadway stages’ best, including Susan Egan, Jason Graae, David Burnham, Joan Ryan, Tami Tappan Damiano and Sharon McNight.

Cinemasters recently released Changing My Tune, Songs by Joel Evans and Adryan Russ, an album of songs emulating the standards of The Great American Songbook. One of those songs appeared in John Patrick Shanley’s film Doubt with Meryl Streep. Other songs have appeared in television shows.

Adryan wrote the lyrics for several feature film songs, including “White Lies” with Darrel Brown and Syreeta Wright for the film The Check Is In The Mail with Brian Dennehy and Ann Archer.

She was invited by Landmark Entertainment to write music and lyrics for several animated feature and theme park presentations.

As an associate producer, Adryan has worked with Bruce Kimmel for more than three years – the first Sunday of every month, presenting shows featuring songs from the Great American Songbook; also, a show called “Life’s A Stitch” at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, California, to benefit The Susan Love Breast Cancer Foundation; and with playwright Dale Griffiths Stamos and actor Barbara Bain on “Love Struck,” a new play produced at The Beverly Hills Playhouse.

Adryan holds a master’s degree in English with a minor in music theory from the University of Illinois. She is a longtime member of ASCAP, The Dramatists Guild, the Academy for New Musical Theatre (ANMT), the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS), and currently serves on the Board of the Society of Composers & Lyricists (

Off-Broadway musical INSIDE OUT, won two Los Angeles Robby Awards for ensemble writing for a musical.
EBENEZER: RETURN OF THE SCROOGE, co-written with AMERICAN CRIME writer Keith Huff, invited into the ASCAP/Disney Musical Theatre Workshop, Chicago. And LOVE AND ORDER, co-written with Doug Haverty, accepted into the ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop, Los Angeles.
For the past 15 years, Adryan has received an ASCAP Award for Popular Music, based on numerous cabaret and musical theater performances by cabaret arts and theaters of her work, for each year.
