Emmy nominated Composer, Miriam Cutler has an extensive background scoring for independent film & TV projects, as well as two circuses. Her passion for documentary film has led to a focus in non-fiction and working on many award winning films for HBO, PBS, OWN, CNN and more. She is a long- time Society of Composers and Lyricists Board Member, and Sundance Institute Documentary Composers Lab Advisor. In June, 2013, Miriam invited by her peers to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as a member of the Documentary Branch. Jeanine Cowen, Vice President for Curriculum and Program Innovation at Berklee College of Music, oversees the undergraduate and graduate curricula at the college, including traditional onground, blended and fully online modalities. Cowen's compositions have been heard throughout film, television, video games and the stage in works which include the Emmy winning PBS mini-series The Great War, the definitive documentary The Life and Times of Frida Kahlo, NOVA's Surviving Everest and the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway play Rapt.
Julia Newmann has received three ASCAP Film and Television Music Awards (2012, 2013, 2015). Alongside three-time Emmy award winning composer Sean Callery ("24", "Elementary" "Homeland") Julia is in the midst of scoring her seventh season. "Bones" was nominated for 'Best Television Score' by the Hollywood Music in Media Awards in 2011. In addition, she has composed music for Fox's series, "The Finder" and "Medium."
